About Garrett

Garrett is an Advisor in the Business Growth & Legacy group at MC Advisory with over 6 years of professional experience. Previously, he was part of the Strategy & Transactions group at EY in both the Halifax and Toronto offices. Garrett has assisted with valuation and financial analysis for several clients with EY. His responsibilities included developing valuation and business models, as well as drafting valuation reports for a variety of purposes such as financial reporting, transactions, tax, and litigation. Prior to this, he worked on large, complex infrastructure transactions and other engagements within the financial institutions, media and entertainment, healthcare, construction, and power and utilities sectors.

Before joining the Strategy & Transactions group, Garrett worked in both the Assurance and Advisory practices at EY where he gained experience in financial reporting and internal controls. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy, and a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. Currently, he is pursuing his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation and hopes to complete this program by 2022.

Garrett is originally from St. John’s and is happy to return to the East Coast after spending several years in Toronto. In his spare time, he enjoys socializing with friends, spending time with his family, and playing sports such as hockey and tennis.
